Not exactly
what I was going for, but close, so I think I'll try
this again. I got caught up in the green leaves and
made them too strong of an element in the painting. I
tried to knock them back, but I ended up with a muddy
mess instead. I think my mistake was in working the
background almost to completion before starting on
the flower. All I could do was make the background
darker, it got too dark and lifting color out didn't
really help. So back to the drawing board on this
one.
